My friend got scammed with a mortgage rescue firm who told to ignore all of the court notices because they were working in his behalf. He just found out his house is scheduled for a sheriff sale in abt 45 days. Is there a way he can get the judgment dismissed and try a court ordered mediation? We live in the State of Ohio, Summit County.

Your friend should immediately contact the lender and apply for loan modification. If the lender accepts his request, then he will be able to avoid the sheriff's sale.
