As far as I know, a Mortgage Servicing Package (MSP) supports all requirements of the Second Lien Modification Program (2MP) managed by Fannie Mae. It can also support the steps required to modify a second lien, when the first loan is being modified under the Home Affordability Modification Program (HAMP).

Determine exactly how much money you can borrow, and when the lender has made that determination, get something in writing from the lender that expresses your borrowing capacity.
