My fathers died 12 years ago and the mortgage balance is still the same. CAN ANY ONE HELP
Hi Mariewoodley,
Welcome to our forums.
I suppose your father was the only one on the mortgage. Well, 12 years is a long time. Didn't you receive any calls or notices from the lender all this time? I think you should contact the lender immediately and negotiate a payment plan in case you want to pay off the mortgage and remove the lien from the title to the property. Now, having said so, I'd like to know what's your financial situation like. I mean will you be comfortable paying the mortgage or are you looking for some options to reduce the mortgage balance or so?
With regards,
Jessica

thats the thing i have been paying the mortgage for the 12 years and know they are trying to give me the run around
hard not to ask why you've waited 12 years to worry about the balance not declining.
please explain the "run around" they're giving you.
