I would like to pay off my son's mortgage. How do I go about doing that and will there be any end of year tax payments that I willheld accountable for. I would also like to add my name to his deed.
hi guest!
welcome to forums!
you will have to ask your son to sign a quit claim deed and add your name to the property deed. once he signs the quit claim deed, you would become one of the owners of the property. then you can refinance the mortgage in your name and pay off the dues. you will be liable for paying the property taxes and other related dues in regards to the property.
feel free to ask if you've further queries.
