Hi there… My husband recently inherited $15,000 from his Uncle. Well, we are facing a dispute… he wants to use the money for a vacation but I want to use the money to pay down our mortgage. We are not late on mortgage but I feel it is safe to pay off the mortgage early. Am I wrong in thinking like that?
Hi Belmont,
It is always a good option to pay down your mortgage before you go for a vacation. You can go for a vacation even later on. However, you may even use half of the money to pay down the mortgage and use the rest of the money for vacation.
Take care

Welcome Belmont,
I agree with Sara's opinion. It is always better to pay off the debts before you use the money for a vacation. You should follow Sara's opinion and try to convince your husband to pay off the mortgage first.
