I am planning to buy a house but haven't found anyone which I liked. I need to know if I need to get pre-approved for a loan or can that happen after we find a home?
Hi Guest,
It will be easier for you to get a desired property for yourself easily if you have a loan approval. Buyers will be interested to show you their property if you have a pre-approval letter with yourself.
Take care

Hi Guest,
A pre-approval letter will make you put forward the fact that you are serious about buying a property and more and more sellers will be ready to show you their property.

If you can get mortgage pre-approval, then the sellers will think you to be a serious buyer. As such, you'll find more and more sellers will want you to show their houses.
Before you even look at any homes to buy, get pre-qualified or pre-approved.
That is just common sense before you start spending a lot of your time and the time of Realotrs and sellers. It is free and must be done, so, do it now.

John, as always you provide cogent and timely answers. Would we expect anything less?
It's been a long, long, long time since I've been on here...not sure how much time I'll be able to contribute but willing to do so when and if I'm available to do so.
Good to see your face on here again; hope all's well in Jersey.

George, great to hear from you.
I have not been on this website much until recently.
Most of the people answering are incomplete and/or inaccurate and/or just plain unfamailiar with mortgages.
Looking foward to your company.
