Hello everyone… Here I am looking to purchase a property with my wife! This is a first home for both of us. Thus we don’t know what is good or bad for us. Can anyone help us know the difference between owning and renting?
Hi PML,
If you own a property, that will be an asset for you. Renting a property won't help you own it. You will be giving away the money. To know which option will suit you the better, you can check out the given calculator: http://www.mortgagefit.com/calculators/buy-rent.html .

Owning a home is good, if you plan to make the current property your long term principle house of residence, whereas renting out will be profitable for you, if you have a transferable job or you are planning to relocate somewhere else in the near future.
