My name is on a deed to a home, but not on the mortgage...Can I qualify for a first time buyer? I have not had a mortgage in 10years.
Hi Guest,
Welcome to forums!
Those people who have not owned another home for a period of around three years prior to the date of purchase of a new home are considered to be first time home buyers. As your name is on the deed of the property, I don't think you will be considered as a first time home buyer.
Feel free to ask if you have further queries.
