my x girlfriend and I are going our seperate ways. we purchased a house 6 years ago. I have always paid the mortgage payment but the mortgage is in her name. my credit wasn't good enough to get the mortgage in my or our names. however, the folks got us in the home using our combined incomes. We have agreed that if I can get her off the mortgage I will keep the house. my question is what are my options

As your name is not mentioned on the mortgage docs now, then you are not responsible for the dues. If you want to takeover the mortgage, then you will have to refinance the loan. Depending upon your financial situation, your credit score, etc. you would be able to qualify for a loan.
