Am I still responsible for auto loan

Posted on: 20th Apr, 2010 12:13 am
The family car was in both my sister and my name I took a loan out on the car and she took the car to another state and traded it in The dealership paid off the loan and now she is taking me to small claims court for the money. Am I still liable to her. She put a restraining order on me and threw out my property. Because I put a loan on the car. Please tell me there is some justice in this world
how a lender gave you a loan without including your sister on a vehicle that you both own is most strange.

as for liability, i believe that your best bet (and hers) is to speak with an attorney to determine who owes what, if anything.
