my credit score is 630.. im selfemployed with 2 yrs taxes done.. my after deductions earnings is only $18800.. i have a child on ssi & he receives $497 per mo & is permentantly disabled.. plus im court order $723 a mo in child support.. by court order am i wasting time looking into fianancing a home for $117000???
your credit score isn't too bad... you may be able to get a loan -do you have a deposit to out down?

I'd suggest getting a few online quotes before anything else. You can do the whole lot online quickly and easily and find out who will work with you and what your options are. Then you can go and approach the lender in person, or continue the application online.

a lot faster than knockin on doors and completely free as well. If nothing else you'll get a very good feel for what a live lenders response is likely to be. there are a couple of sites in my sig that can help with this if you're interested.

Can you provide proof of the child support through 12 months of deposits? What are the taxes and insurance on the home you're interested in?

You won't be able to use Child Support as income unless you can prove monthly deposits of some sort.
