Accredited home lenders filed chapter 11 bkr in 2009. They gave my loan to a servicing co.(debt collector). This co. does not know who has the title to my house and keeps telling me not worry about it, just keep sending the payments in. So I am not sending them another dime. Does anyone know what has happened to my title?
Hire a lawyer to do a title search or just contact a title company directly and pay them to do a title search.
Just doing the title search does not cost much, so, that would be less costly than hiring an attorney to have the same thing done.
Not paying the mortgage could mess up credit. maybe keep paying another month or two until the title search is done.

I agree with John. It will be better to take help of a title search company in order find out about the title of your property. Unless you get an idea about the title of your property, it will be better to keep on paying the monthly payments till then.
