Hello everyone... We cannot decide what to do... My husband is 71 and I am 61. He was in the military. We cannot decide whether or not it will be a right time to buy a property. We own a mobile home which is free and clear but we have to pay space rent on it. What should we do?
Hi Peckyy,
It is difficult to say whether or not it will be a good decision. However, as your husband served in the military, he will be able to get a VA loan which might be easier for both of you to afford. However, the final decision will be solely yours.
Take care

Hi Peckyy!
Welcome to the forums!
When you decide to take out the loan, you should judge your affordability by taking help of online mortgage calculators.
Feel free to ask if you've further queries.

Yes, I agree with what Sara has said. Since your husband was in the military, he will qualify for a VA loan. However, both of you need to know how much loan you can actually afford before you decide to obtain one.
You should also check your loan repayment ability so that you may know whether or not you will be able to repay your debt obligations in the near future. Look for more income when you think that you won't be able to repay the loan.
