We're trying to get a VA loan and at last we have even found our dream home. But I don't have good scores. My husbands credit is great, no problems at all. But our DTI isn't so great. My credit has been increasing, but slowly. Not having much of an account history is really hindering me. The collections that I do have are all paid in full, but some negative accounts are still showing. Any suggestions to get me to the score I need to be? What is the lowest score for VA loans?
Are you the vet or is your husband? Can he qualify without you? We go down to a 600 middle score on VA loans, and we can also run a credit simulator to determine how to improve your credit scores.

The valid question has been raised by Lucie. If your husband is the veteran, it would be comparatively easy to get the approval as he has got good credit.
