My husband and I are try to going threw pre approval for a home loan using a VA loan with his mid score 620and and my mid 646. I have been working overtime disputing and sending PDF and us. Finally got to the scores needed to apply. I've heard stories of having disputes comments on the report and being denied. Is this true for the VA loan to?
Hi Solly,
The VA lender may ask you to give a written explanation regarding the disputed items in your credit report. However, in case of VA loan, the lender will mainly take into consideration the fact whether or not you meet the required criteria.
Thanks

Welcome Solly,
I agree with the opinion of James, to know about VA loan eligibility, check out the given page: http://www.mortgagefit.com/va-loan.html

I recently bought a home using my VA loan benefits. I negotiated the seller to pay $2,000 in closing costs (on a $172,000 loan) and was told by my lender that it would likely cover. I would pay "not much, if anything" at closing. The day prior to closing that "not much" amount $1,750!!! What can I do to dispute this amount?
Welcome MINI Cliff,
Closing costs vary from state to state and can change from one lender to another. You may speak to the lender and negotiate the amount with him. However, whether or not the lender will consider your request, will be his discretion.
