Hi everyone! I have been a military-man and have been in service for 20 years. Now, my son is thinking of buying a property but he is not in the military. Can I help him getting a VA loan. I just want him to get a good mortgage deal. I will be shifting in that home with time. So, will I be able to help my son get a VA mortgage loan?
Your son will not be able to get a VA loan in his name. You will have to qualify and take out the loan in your name and you will also have to stay in the property.
Hi Father!
Welcome to the forums!
I agree with what Niicss has said. You will be able to get the mortgage in your name but your son can never qualify for it as he is not a military man.
Feel free to ask if you've further queries.

Your son will not be eligible to get a loan since he has not been in the military. Moreover, VA loan is only for the military-men. If you want to help him, you'll have to obtain the loan in your name.
