I have a variable mortgage. As the prime has been increasing in Canada, the bank has automatically DECREASED my payments. This doesn't make sense to me. What is going on? Thanks for your answer.

Hi Guest,

You should immediately contact your lender and ask him to clarify the whole matter regarding the payments. He will explain it to you in details.
