My Clients were married 8/7/2010. On 8/9/2010 they deposited $6,000 into their checking account, but $3,900 was cash. Can that be a source of funds for downpayment? I've got a copy of the marriage license dated 8/3/2010 and a wedding announcement to back up the date of the wedding.
Hi thomascourtright,
Your clients will have to inform the lender about the source of the cash. Your clients should contact the lender and let him know about the gifted money. The lender will let them know what type of prove he would need for the cash gift.
Thanks,
Jerry
