i think my wife took out a loan in my name. how do i find out if she did. i have never taken a loan out.
Just get a copy of your credit report. That will tell you for sure.
Yep, your credit report will list it. But check all 3 companies, because sometimes a Lender only reports to one of them, not all three.
someone took out a morgage in my name in the year of 2006,and it was not me!!!!
Hi Kathy,
Well, there can be some kind of identity theft. You need to contact an attorney and check out what steps you can take in this matter. You may have to file a lawsuit in order to get rid of this.
Thanks

To make sure if someone took a loan out using your name, you need to check your credit report and see if the activity is written there. People usually do not give important to their credit reports but monitoring them and checking them every so often will help people identify inaccuracies and inconsistencies with their spending. It is best to get your credit reports from the three major bureaus which are Equifax, Experian and TransUnion every four months because these companies only give one copy for free, once a year. Once you get a hold of your credit report, carefully scrutinize each and every detail written on it so you could check if the activities written on it match yours. There are also credit monitoring services which you might be interested with, these services are mentioned in this website, "creditdata.com/what-services-does-credit-protection-include/".
