What form do I need to add my father's name to a Deed that right now is only in my name? This is in Macomb County Michigan, there is no mortgage or anything owed on the house and he is living in the house. I would like to either put the house in his name only or have it in both of our names. I also have a durable power of attorney for him and he is 75 years old. Please let me know if you need any more info. Thanks.
you cna do "quit claim deed' and add yoru father name to the deed
make sure it tis notorized and record the smae in the county office or it will not be valid

to add your father name to the deed the easiest method is Quit Claim deed. It transfers the property from the current owners to the new owners, which would include all the old owners and those you wish to add. Any title company or law office can help you with and it isn't expensive.
Hi Quilter,
As the property is only in your name, then you can file a quitclaim deed and add your father's name to the property deed. This will make him the co-owner of the property.
Thanks
