"Foreclosure Redemption Period in Michigan"

Posted on: 09th Apr, 2009 09:16 pm
Isn't there a 3 month period beyond the 6 month redemption period in the state of Michigan that the owner is given to be moved out of the property?
Hi marquie,

I am not aware of any 3 months period after the redemption period. As far as I know, after the redemption period, the borrower has no right to the property and has to move out of it.

Thanks,

Jerry

actually as I understand it, in michigan you have at least six months after the redemption period to live in your house. After the redemption period has passed then your mortgage company starts the eviction process witch allows you 6 months to a year to be off of the property depending on certain criteria. the eviction process has to go thru court and that kind of thing.
