I am trying to get at mortgage for about 28,000.00 and was told that it was to low of an amount. my credit score is 709 and I have 5% to put down. Any suggestions for where to go in Michigan?

Lenders normally help you take out a loan for an higher amount - an amount higher than 50,000. So, getting a loan of 28,000 will be difficult for you. I will suggest you to contact a lender offering personal loans and check out whether or not you can get a loan.

You can even check out if you can qualify for FHA loans. Contact the local FHA lenders and check out if you can qualify for a such a loan.
