My husband and I are seperated, and the house I am residing in, is in his name . I just found out it is being foreclosed on. I got a preliminary letter so this is just starting. I live in Missouri. What are my options? How long is the process, and how long do I have before I have to move out ?
Hi pjwalker!
Welcome to forums!
If your name is not on the mortgage or on the property deed, you won't be able to do anything regarding the foreclosure. It will take around 90 days to complete the foreclosure sale. Once the foreclosure is over, you'll get an eviction notice and you will have to leave the property within the time period mentioned in the notice.
Feel free to ask if you've further queries.

So would you say I am "safe" in my home for at least 3 months ?? This letter was not even registered . Iwas just regular mail ...
Hi PJ,
Unless your property is sold off at the foreclosure auction, you will be able to stay in the property. You can contact the lender and check out whether or not they would foreclose your property.
Thanks
