I live in Pennsylvania and I am currently undergoing paperwork to move to Canada. Once I get the letter to move I have 3 months to leave. If I do not sell my house and have to let it be repossesed what will happen?

Are you planning to take citizenship of Canada? if this is the case then i don't think it will hamper in a bigger manner as it will only lower your score due to foreclosure but if you are not planning for permanent citizenship then it will surely hamper you in a big way in coming future..............

Hi,
If you're going to move to Canada, it is most unlikely that your lender will go after you after the repossession of your home. Thus, you'll practically be free from your loan liability. But I think a deed in lieu would be a better option. You can then willing sign over the home title to the lender and let them sell the house to satisfy the outstanding balance on the loan.
