Hi - I have been awarded the HUD contract on a foreclosed doublewide on private property in Georgia and need a loan for the purchase. I am finding that most lenders are not loaning on these types of properties now, and the lenders that are loaning have ridiculous fees and interest rates. Can you tell me a good lender to try? I have very good credit with a score around 760, so I should be offered a decent interest rate, I would think. I need to apply for a mortgage quickly so I do not forfeit this HUD property. Also, I will use this property as my primary residence. Thanks ever so much!!
You can get an FHA mortgage loan to purchase a HUD home. HUD and the FHA work together to guarantee mortgage loans for people in order to have easier accessibility for becoming homeowners.
Although HUD owns these homes as a result of FHA loan foreclosures, you can still qualify for an FHA loan to purchase a HUD home as long as you have never defaulted on an FHA loan .
