my husband and I own a mobile home with ten acres of land. My husband was supposed to have been the owner of the home and it turned out it was his parents. I would like to give him my portion back.
Hi Queencape,

Welcome to Mortgage fit,

Answer to your question lies in your question itself.Basically you and your husband are not the true owner, rather his parents are.So if you can not own anything where is the question comes about transferring it.

If you are not owner (either partial) of the property, how can your transfer your share to your husband.? So, as far as transferring the property to your husband is concerned, he need to file an affidavit of heir-ship.

Feel free to ask any further query if you have..........

Hi Queencape!

Welcome to forums!

If you want to give your share of the property to someone else, then you can sign a quitclaim deed. You will be the grantor of the property whereas your husband will be the grantee.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
