what is the difference between Moore and Marsden case
Hi Marta,
Welcome to the forums.
Moore and Marsden cases are two individual cases no doubt but both of these have been utilized to bring about the Moore Marsden Rule. The Rule emphasizes the fact that a spouse's property will become community property after his/her marriage provided he/she has made a certain contribution towards payment of the mortgage taken to buy the home.

Could you explain what is community property? Is it applicable in all states or there are exceptions?
Hi Nicole,
Community Property is a unique ownership for married couples under laws of community property. All states do not have community property laws. Each of the spouses has equal rights to any appreciation or income originated from the asset.
With best wishes,
Larry
