iwas intending to borrow money from the bank under my company\'s name. I disccused with the bank manager and lodged application.
but i became sick and somehow, my manager seemed to have signed a mortgage for me which was excess of the mortgaged property\'s value. my manager ran away, and now the bank wants to enforce the debt against me? as a director, would I be liable?

Welcome peiwenchen,
You mean the manager has signed on your behalf? But how is this possible, I mean you can't carry on with the loan that didn't ever want to go for. I think you should have a talk with the bank manager with whom you have applied for.

That is a fraud done on you.
You should file a complaint against it with law enforcement authorities. Contact an attorney as early as possible so that this loan transaction can be canceled.

"my manager seemed to have signed a mortgage for me which was excess of the mortgaged property's value."
How bank accepted your manager's signature in your place? That is a scam.
You are not liable to anything as you did not sign any documents.
