I am in the state of nebraska and I am 4 months behind on my mortgage and I havent received any kind of notice yet. I have applied for social security disability and will get my first check in aug 2009, how long does it take to get the foreclosure notice and I understand that I will need to go to a hearing and the judge may give me a little more time. I am selling my household goods so it wont take me long to pack
have you spoken with your mortgage lender? if you're looking for the legalities involved in a foreclosure action, your best source of information for that is a lawyer or, perhaps, the attorney general's office of your state.
Hi, there is not actual time frame for getting a foreclosure notice. It all depends on the bank. Have you tried talking to them? In most cases ive seen people getting them around 6 months on non payment. They just get notices of being behind on payments. Best thing to do is to call them and explain your situation.
Hi
It's completely upto the lender how much time they take to complete the process of foreclosure. Generally, it takes about 6 months. In some states like Michigan, there is a foreclosure redemption period of around 6 months when the buyer is given a chance to reclaim the property on payment of certain amount. Thus, this is not going to over soon. It will take some time for the entire process of foreclosure to be complete.
