If you are not on the Mortgate Note but are making the payments can you claim the interest on you taxes this is in NJ
If your name is not mentioned on the mortgage note, then you won't be able to claim the interest payments on your taxes.
The state does not matter.
One needs to be reponsible for the payment, on the Note, to be allowed to deduct interest.
