I own two properties that are side by side in a rual area in the Southern Tier of upstate NY. Combined about 8 acers. They are joined by one driveway that I modified. One property has the home that I live in and the other an old home that I have converted to a garage. County Description "Vacant w/imprv". Both parcels have there own electric, well and septic systems. I would like to combine the two properties as one with one deed. I have an "Equity Loan" on the property that I live in and the other I owe nothing. Any thoughts or comments? Is this something I can do myself through the county?
Hi Knowlesja!
Welcome to forums!
If you want to combine both the properties, then you will have to take the permission of the county regarding the same. As you already have a mortgage on one of the properties, it would be difficult for you to combine both of them.
Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
