name on deed, not on mortgage

Hi i am in a bit of a sticky situation myself. I entered into buying a house in Ohio 8 years ago with my boyfriend and we never married and my name is not on the mortgage loan or even the 2nd mortgage he took out to buy a truck, but my name is on the deed. Sadly our relationship is ending. I have agreed to move out because he won't leave & says we can't sell and get out of house what is owed. But he's pressuring me to hurry up & get out. I have 2 teens from a prev. marriage and really trying to find somewhere, but stop.....what are my rights here???? Can he make me leave???
Hi dawn!

Welcome to the forums!

If your name is mentioned on the property deed, then you are one of the owners of the property. In such a situation, he cannot make you leave the property. If he forces you to leave the property, then that will be considered as illegal.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.

Welcome dawn,

I agree with Sussane that he cannot throw you off the property as you are one of the owners of the property. You can take legal actions against him if he does so. Contact an attorney in this regard.
