My mother signed over property to me via a quitclaim deed. The document stated that she had life long residency rights in the "existing structure. The mobile home has soon to be torn down due to mold that was found. What are my rights and responsibilities in this affair? Ohio
Hi Hosilver,
As the quitclaim deed is in your name, you're the sole owner of the property. Due to the life estate rights, your mother will be able to stay in the property for the rest of her life. If you want to tear down the property, you'll have to take your mother's permission.
Thanks
