My mother passed away, her will states her house is to be sold and the money from the sale divided among her children. The house is in Ohio, the executor lives in Georgia. We signed a paper to probate the will, all except 2 sisters. they do not wish to sign. do we have any other option to proceed with the sale of the house. there has been a bid , the buyers are waiting for the judge to do whatever he does, which he can't do, because my sisters won't sign. The one sister lives in my moms house , won't vacate and won't pay rent. what can we do to sell the house and should we file eviction papers against her?
Hi katgssnn!

You won't be able to sell off the property unless your sisters sign the property deed. You and your other siblings can pay a certain sum of money to your sisters and buy them out. You can ask them to sign the property deed in exchange of the sum of money. If they agree to this, then you would be able to sell off the property.
Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
