we have filed bankruptcy a little over 2 years ago.. and have since then had tremendous trouble with our mortgage company... they now want x amount of dollars to keep the loan ... i need to refinance ..... but have horrible credit... please send me some info. on how to deal with this
Hi Lisa,
Welcome to MortgageFit Forums.
I feel sorry about your condition. But as you know bad times don't last forever. I strongly believe that you will come out of this situation.
I want know if the closing process is already over. If it is over and you have got the loan, then the mortgage company cannot force you to any extra amount outside your agreement to keep the loan.
Actually in case of bad credit it becomes a little bit difficult to qualify for the conventional loans. Many may ask you for a large down payment. There are options for sub prime loans but that too demands a big fee.
I think the best way to deal with this is to shop around a lot before you go for it. You will certainly be able to find lenders or banks who may agree to give a better deal in refinancing mortgage. Try to find out who has got the best rate so that it suits you.
If you wish you can sign up with us also for the purpose so that we can try and search an appropriate lender for you.
For this you need to sign up with us at http://www.mortgagefit.com/signup/ which is free of cost. This will enable us to forward your query to an appropriate lender who will call you up and suggest you the best possible offer.
Feel free to ask if you have any more doubts.
God bless you.
