I am wondering if my situation could be adverse property?

Posted on: 22nd Dec, 2009 05:11 pm
The driveway to my house as been there for over 50 years and has never moved. I know the limit in PA is 21 years. My neighbor recently had his property surveyed and it turns out that the very end of my driveway cuts across is property line. This area is only about 6 - 10 feet wide and long. He now wants me to move my driveway which I don't want to do. Can i claim this under adverse possessions?
Hi joshsheller!

Welcome to forums!

It is true that the adverse possession limit in PA is 21 years. You will have to contact a real estate attorney and he will let you know whether or not you will be able to claim it under the adverse possession laws.
