filing for bankruptcy

My father passed away in Dec.2009. I inherited land in Texas & my siblings & I sold the family home. I also received money from the sale. My question is, when I file bankruptcy( in 1-2 months from now) can creditors, attorney or banks take what I have inherited.
Welcome Guest,

The creditors can come after your inherited assets as well. Though you've inherited it, you are the owner of that property now. Thus, the trustee can use it to pay off your creditors.
