I was diagnosed with MS and had just bought a house and still owned a trailer and had a car payment on a Focus. My nephew said he would live in and pay for the trailer. He went to jail a year ago and I paid $200 a month from my $841 in SS disability until a couple of months ago. I let his family know I couldn't afford it and they did nothing. The other side, I let my sister and her four kids pay for the Focus but she has repeatedly been delinquent and now she is just hiding it in the garage because they are going to repossess it. My family really used my situation to their advantage and now all I can think to do is file bankruptcy. I do not have any other cars or assets in my name. I do not have credit cards or school loans. The trailer loan has contacted me to inform me of a law suit. What do I do!!??

Hi Guest!
Welcome to forums!
You can file bankruptcy but if you've already received a summons from the court, you'll have to give a reply to it. You can, then, contact a bankruptcy attorney and take his opinion regarding your situation. He will let you know which chapter of bankruptcy filing will be best suited for you.
Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
