My sis got involved with some "friends" who were buying proerties and reselling them. They had her to sign paperwork, because she had good credit at the time. When things fell through, she had to declare bankrucy. She thought that was all she needed to do, but she recently found out that there is a least one home that still has her name on the deed, and the city is making her responible for the yard upkeep. She is not physically or finacially able to do this, and is trying to find info on the property and the bank that it was financed through, because she needs to get her name off the deed. SHe went to the records ofice, but did not get a resolution. What can she do ?
Hi Katiebug!

Welcome to forums!

In order to remove her name from the property deed, she will have to transfer the property to someone else. She can surrender the property to the lender and ask them to sell off the property asap in order to get rid of it.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
