hey guys,
I got alot of help from this board when I was getting my mortgage and I'm now building a home.
now I have a off-topic question, about home improvement deductions, I know that things like upgraded fixtures, adding french doors, and landscaping can be deducted as home improvements on your tax return, but what else can be? what about new furniture? paint? anything else?

Silentneko,
I haven't heard anyone deducting for paint and furnitures. As far as my knowldege goes, they are not deductible.

I agree with adonis, new furniture cannot be considered as home improvement.
