Should I spend the money to have a home inspection?
What money are you taking about Richo? As far as home inspection is concerned, it is quite important if you are buying a home. This is because it will help you find out whether the home you are buying is in a good condition or if it requires any repair work or not.

At the time of buying a home inspection can be useful in locating any defects & you will also get useful suggestions on how to maintain & repair the house in future.

Generally it costs between $200 and $500 for the inspection.

As a buyer your home is the most important purchase you ever make in your lifetime. So you should protect yourself with a home inspection which includes an evaluation of a home's condition by a trained expert.

Spending on the home inspection is required as it provides you with a peace of mind. It also helps to:

1) Reveal the need for repairs or replacements before you buy it.
2) Give you valuable details about your new home - the condition of the property, its location, and more.
3) Make a sound home-buying decision.

Thus, considering all these points, you should surely spend on your home inspection.

I agree with all other posters. Home inspection is always recommended before making the purchase. You can then be sure that the property doesn't have any defects.
