I am a married woman ready to buy a house. I am also currently seperated from my husband and has been for a year now. I would like to buy a house with someone else. CAn I. My divorce will be final in Dec. 09. please advise, oh and I do not wish to marry the other person, at least not yet
You are able to purchase a home with another individual if you please. I hope this helps...
Probably you can buy with another person, but your recent divorce will have an impact on your credit report and may hinder your ability to get some loan for your house.

ms steff, unless there was something in your divorce decree that prevents you from a purchase, there's nothing else that should stop you. and certainly if you don't necessarily plan on marrying the other individual, it is a smart move to maintain title to whatever you buy yourself.
