Yes you can absoutley get FHA loan with 628. Minimum requirment for FHA is 620. All you need to show is enough income to make the monthly payment including the MIP or PMI

Hi Nader, A score of 628 is good enough to qualify for an fha loan. There is alot of other stuff that goes into qualifying for a loan as in income, debt, work history, bank statements.

Apart from credit score (minimum 620 ) one need to fulfill following requirements in order to get FHA loan.

Two Years of regular employment, preferably with same employer.

Your new mortgage payment should be approximately 30% of your current gross (before taxes) income.

Last two years Income should be at least same or increasing.

    Minimum credit score 620.

Above mentioned requirements are basic one,you need to apply for the FHA loan if you meet these basic requirements.

I think what most people are trying to tell you is that the credit score alone does not determine whether or not you qualify. Your income and assets also come heavily into play for any mortgage. Your fico does qualify, hopefully the rest of your scenario will meet guidelines and you can take advantage of the first time homebuyer tax credit, excellent mortgage rates and a plethora of homes to choose from at more affordable prices then the past couple of years. Good luck in your search. brian

I think if you can waiti a littel longer probably you will be able to get the house for much more less price than what it is today

Lot of thigns to come out and lot of houses are expected to forclose in the next 6 - 18 months. All that means is that the pricess will go down further

Good luck and feel free to ask
