I signed my affirmation and my mortgage company said they received the papers 6 days past the discharge date. How can I go back and get it reaffirmed. we are making payments and want to rebuild our credit. As of now no payments are showing on our credit reports. If our mortgage is non reaffirmed and we are making payments , can they foreclose on us?
you need to fix an appointment with lender and close the issue. if they are not willing to sign agreement, contact your attorney immediately.
a reaffirmation agreement is signed between you and the creditor. it states that you will pay all or a portion of the money owed to the creditor/lender, despite filing bankruptcy. in return you will be able to keep your property and the creditor also promises that he will not repossess or take back the property as long as the payments are made
