Hello all. I would appreciate a little help on this one.... Here is my situation:
I have had a land-contract deal with my builder since 2002. The house is still in his name. I am still living in the home, and have claimed the interest on my tax deductions. I am applying for a conventional bank loan this month. Could I still be considered a first-time homebuyer for purposes of the tax credit since the house is never been in my name and have never had a ''conventional'' loan? I do meet the rest of the criteria....
