My father recently passed away i nFebruary. He had no insurance so my husband and I had to pay out of pocket for his funeral...it wiped us out. Anyway, we fell behind on the mortgage payments, and now they are talking foreclosure.....my dad's laywer said for us not to tell the mortgage company that daddy had passed, so we didn't, but my fafther had transferred the houses to me 3 years ago. The deed is in my name as well as the taxes. Should I let the mortgage company know about daddy's passing? What can I do to save my house???

Welcome to mortgagefit
It is really sad to hear about your dad...
But what I will try to tell you is that you should not inform it as long as you are paying for the mortgage.so make sure you are paying it on regular basis.otherwise they will come to know about it once you are not current on the payment.
keep in touch....
