Hi amf888,

Welcome to our forum.

After bank files foreclosure you can seek for court protection to avoide foreclosure in such case court will postpone foreclosure for next 6 month's & you can gather money to pay them. You can file chapter13 to by this way, you will be able to repay at least a certain percentage of the debt with the help of a trustee-approved repayment plan, that also, within a short period of 3 to 5 years from signing date.

You can get more information about "How to avoide foreclosure?". http://www.mortgagefit.com/foreclosure/17ways-avoid.html

You can also request to your bank to stop foreclosure of your home & reinstate your loan.

Thanks & Regards.
