HOW CAN I RECEIVE A DISCOUNT ON THE FHA INITIAL MORTGAGE INSURANCE PREMIUM?
There are no discounts available. There used to be in some situations, like for first time buyers who took the counseling course, but, those do not exist right now.

FHA provides HELP Program. I think you have to discuss it with your lender Catharin. HELP means Homebuyer Education Learning Program.
It is structured to help people like you begin the homebuying process.
It really help people in terms of providing information about budgeting, finding a home, getting a loan, and home maintenance. In most cases, completion of this program may entitle you to a reduction in the initial FHA mortgage insurance premium from 2.25% to 1.75% of the purchase price of your new home.
