Can a loan modification be done with only one of two signatures on original loan?

Posted on: 22nd Sep, 2009 12:28 pm
My soon to be ex-wife is working with Bank of America to receive a loan modification on our home we purchased together. She does not have a quick claim deed, no job only unemployment and various renters. She has submitted docs with renters signatures for income varification(truthful?). She is at best time deceitful, she has been known to forge my signature on checks before. There is at this time no document from the court giving her the home or ordering me to sign a quick claim deed. She has told me the bank will re-finance the loan in her name only after I sign the deed over to her???? The bank, when I call does not want to relay any information regarding the modification to me saying they are working with my ex. CAN SHE HAVE THIS MODIFIATION WITHOUT MY SIGNATURE AND LEAVING ME ON THE LOAN WITH FINANCIAL LIABILITY?
If the modification is approved then they will need both of your signature to finsh the process, with out your signaute they cannto do anything
