My wife and I make 43000 combined income a year and we are newly weds. of 3 years. Bills a month run about 800 monthly. My credit isn't perfect and I filed bankruptcy 4 years ago. Is there any possible way to get a mortgage and If so about how much for?
Hi jlt1144,

Welcome to our forum.

You can apply for FHA laon for purchase house. As you say you had sign a bankruptcy 4 year ago, It will not effects on you if you have good credit history since last 4 years. If someone filed bankruptcy,he can't apply for loan for next 3 years. So you have signed it 4 years ago. To apply loan you must maintain 620+ credit score. Good credit history, Most recent bank statemetns. 3.5% down payment of loan amount. If your wife is co-borrowe for loan then her credit history will be consider.

you can. but should have credit score of more than 620. Apart from this you need to specify your need as well. In case of FHA, you need to pay 3.5% as down payment. so be ready for it

Hi Everyone,

I see a lot forums on this topic these days and im strongly suggesting this awesome service online where you can get the FACTS about lenders rather than only listening to what people are saying. VerifiedLenders.com lets you instantly find out who is and isn't a creditable lender and what their funding performance is like because they are the only one's that have the REAL information!

If this is such and important topic for all of you, which it should be since its how you make your money there should be no reason not to become a member of VerifiedLenders.com which will help you weed out the bad lenders and locate the best ones quicker but also support them since they are making the industry better. Since I became a member I found out most of the lenders I was dealing with were not funding loans for many months if not ever but now I have a found a whole new network of lenders that fund a lot more loans more often which helps my funding ratio!

Good Luck!

i have to laugh at that gunz...you're trying to make sense out of what greg said...i don't think that's a likely scenario. besides, he just parroted what you said.

i think there's a possibility of our poster getting a loan, but we truly would need more information as to debt, etc.

i think that they are still newlyweds after 3 years is a spectacular thing!
